Had two excellent meals here while staying at Mains Farm. Really welcoming hosts, very tolerant of our late arrival, superb freshly cooked food with healthy portions - just what we needed after a 60 mile bike ride.

We have just finished the C2C, 27/6/11, our party of 20 stopped at Mains farm, Whilst some of the support crew stopped at Featherstone arms. The accomodation is excellent, the meals on the other hand were fantastic, They fed us on two nights, the staff are very welcoming, the first night they coped with all 20 turning up at once, the following night we arrived in smaller groups as the 60 miles stretched the group out, a quick phone call to the pub gave us a reasuring nod that they would carry on cooking until we were all in and they did. An excellent place to stop and eat, would recommend this to anyone with no hesitation.

I have done the C2C for 3 years now and the Featherstone Arms have been more that accommodating! from the friendly welcome to the fantastic food, who could ask for more after a being in the saddle.... we were there during the Pie festival..... heaven !! :-)
