No problems at all recommending this place. Just completed the c2c today but stayed here the other night. A really friendly welcome was a great comfort after the punishing day I'd just had. The owners are a really friendly couple making you feel right at home. Breakfast was superb. A nice touch was the slice of homemade flapjack shoved in my pocket when setting off for day 2.

As all have said the welcome by Marguite and Thomas was fantastic especially after our first day of cycling. The rooms are very comfortable and particularly welcome was the blackout curtains and blind - this is an enormous help when like us you flake out at 8.30pm! The best breakfast on the trip and a superb packed lunch for the very hilly day ahead. Thank you

Absolutely superb! Marguerite and Thomas are first class hosts. There were 9 of us and Marguerite asked us to label our bags in advance....so she could make sure they were in our rooms on arrival-great touch! Beautifully clean and immaculately presented accommodation. The best breakfast ever and as said before the homemade flapjack on the morning of our departure...again a lovely touch. Would have no problem recommending this B&B and will be staying there again.

This was great stop on the C2C as only a minute off the route. It was my second stay and M and T remembered me from 6 years ago- that's service!. Spotlessly clean and fabulous breakfast served with humour and efficiency and a friendly wave to send us on our way, not to mention the smile the flapjack brought to my face later on.Fabulous

Thoroughly recommended. Three of us stayed at Tynedale during our C2C trip and I doubt we could have chosen a better Guest House in Penrith. First class hosts, clean and comfortable accommodation, excellent location a short walk from town centre and very good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Highly recommended. Couldn't wish for a warmer welcome than received from Margeurite and Thomas. Cosy, comfortable and a stones throw from local amenities, pubs [excellent ales] and eateries. Margeurite's breakfast is worthy of special mention, using very good quality local produce it was delicious and if that isn't enough to entice the weary traveller then Margeurite's flapjack is second to done!

Came in from a very long and very wet first leg of the C2C, Margeurite and Tom could not have been more helpful and tolerant of our wet shoes and gear etc...quickly sorting out into the drying room for the next day. The rooms comfortable and clean and WOW the breakfast is something else...Our hosts had even supplied tasty home made flapjacks for the next leg of our journey...overall spot on

On arrival, Thomas & Marguerite were at the front door waiting for us. They made us feel at home immediately. Really nice people. The bikes were secured at the back of the property very safely. The room was very clean with everything we needed. 2 minutes from wetherspoons was ideal as we were tired & hungry, so didn't have to walk far. As we left on the evening to go for tea, an amazing smell was coming from the kitchen. We asked what it was & we were told it was our flapjacks for the next day. (they were really nice). Breakfast next morning was fantastic. Best poached eggs ever. Loads of choice to eat as well. Cereal, yoghurts, fruit cooked brekkie. Will definately stay again.

Nice welcome and tour of house. Traditional decor for age of house, nice and clean and rooms are well provided for with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good quality and made to order. Secure storage for bikes. Great recommendations for evening meals in town. Homemade flapjack on departure was much appreciated 20 miles later! I would happily stay again.
