Sorry not to have been in touch sooner – been riding through the mists of Normandy and researching a great new route (more about which soon…) Anyway, I hear from my ranger friends from Sustrans that the first cyclists of the season were spotted as early as mid-February on Hadrian’s Cycleway, a week later on the C2C and some two days after that on the Reivers. Well done! I personally don’t understand why we stop at all. What better way to ward off the lethargy of winter, the excess of Christmas/New Year and the depression of pre-Spring than getting out there and clocking up some miles.
Except that somehow I never seem to quite be able to find my kit. Try as I might, something or other is missing and remains so until the sun really comes out.
