Food served all day at this picture postcard 17th century coaching inn on the Glenderamakin river at the foot of Blencathra and Souther. There's a bar and snug, a roaring log fire, a games room and a dining room, plus a charming beer garden beside the river. Also serves morning coffee and afternoon tea.
