Great pit-stop on the new Weardale Alternative, Pip and her team welcome you to the newly refurbished Killhope Café. Serving from 10.30 until 5.00 daily. A visit to Killhope cafe is always a welcome break even if you’re not visiting the Museum. A warm welcome awaits you. Offering a wonderful menu with a choice of home-made soups, sandwiches, scones, cakes and lots more. Date slices are proving a real hit among C2Cers. Come in for lunch or just a relaxing cuppa. Ingredients are organic and/or locally sourced where possible. Last orders for meals is 4pm. Caters for groups. With funding from Leader, the cafe now has an awning over its picnic area.

Killhope Museum is open daily 11.00 – 5.00 until the end of October. Admission tickets valid for a whole year. Underground tours and a wealth of wildlife including red squirrels can be observed on our woodland trails. The award-winning staff are here to answer all your questions about life at the top of the dale in the 19th C and ensure a truly memorable experience.
