Challengers triumph – again

September 4th, 2012 by

Last weekend, for the second time this summer, we held a C2C Challenge. Again the weather was beautiful and there was a fair tailwind behind the 46 riders who sped into Alston on Saturday night, before going on to Sunderland on Sunday morning. Camp Alston was a great success and there were no setbacks, meaning our man with the lanterne rouge, Billy Gair of Braemar Bikes in Whitehaven, had an easier time of it than in May, when a strong headwind made hard going of it.

Look out for rides next spring and summer, starting with a trip on along the Dorset coast and then across into Normandy and Brittany. This 300-miler will mark the official opening of the Petit Tour de Manche.
