Training notes

March 6th, 2012 by

Q: I’m 14 and active and I was hoping to do the C2C as a 4-day ride for charity with my friend, who’s 15. I was hoping you could tell me how much training I would have to do to be ready and the scale and quanity of the hills we’d be tackling. Thanks Alex.

A: Get out on your bike and go up and down hills. Make sure you can cycle 40 miles in a day and it should be easy enough. As a rough rule you need to have cycled around 10 times the total distance of the whole route in the six months prior to tackling it (ie 1,400 miles). On you go!
