Wiggo and the C2C…

September 9th, 2012 by

Bradley Wiggins and Team Sky are scheduled for a pint in Great Strickland on Tuesday after the gruelling 3rd stage of the Tour of Britain. The Cumbrian stop-off, after the 100 mile Jedburgh to Dumfries section, will be at around 7pm, when the cavalcade – deadline permitting – will be greeting hundreds of local fans. The Strickland Arms came to the attention of the tour’s promoters following its avid support of the Tour de France, not to mention its great support for the C2C. The Strickland is one of the main stopping points on the Ullswater braid, introduced by the Guide last year.
